This page explains what information hieunguyen.net and the SpeakAtSea app (app.hieunguyen.net) collect and how it is used. Both are run by Nguyen Chi Hieu, a deck officer based in Vietnam. The website shares maritime study material for free; SpeakAtSea is a paid app for practising English job interviews. 1. What we collect1. Thu thập gì

• Your name and email, only if you type them into the form to get the free materials. They are stored with our email service, Kit (kit.com), and used to send you the materials and occasional maritime study updates. Tên và email của bạn, chỉ khi bạn tự điền vào form để nhận tài liệu miễn phí. Thông tin được lưu ở dịch vụ email Kit (kit.com), dùng để gửi tài liệu và thỉnh thoảng gửi thêm tài liệu học hàng hải.
• Sending the file by email. For some visitors the file is sent to the email they typed instead of opening right away. To do that, our own server (Cloudflare) keeps the email, the file you asked for, where you came from and whether you opened the link. The email is sent through Resend (resend.com). Gửi tài liệu qua email. Với một số người, tài liệu được gửi vào email vừa điền thay vì mở ngay. Để làm việc đó, máy chủ của chúng tôi (Cloudflare) lưu email, tài liệu bạn xin, bạn đến từ đâu và bạn đã bấm link trong thư chưa. Thư được gửi qua dịch vụ Resend (resend.com).
• Visit statistics through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity: pages viewed, clicks, device and browser type, and approximate country. These tools use cookies. We use the numbers only to see which materials are useful. Số liệu truy cập qua Google Analytics và Microsoft Clarity: trang đã xem, lượt bấm, loại thiết bị và trình duyệt, quốc gia ước tính. Các công cụ này dùng cookie. Chúng tôi chỉ dùng số liệu để biết tài liệu nào có ích.

2. What we do not do2. Không làm gì

• We do not sell, rent or share your name or email with anyone. Không bán, cho thuê hay chia sẻ tên, email của bạn cho bất kỳ ai.
• The free website does not ask for passwords, payment details or documents. The SpeakAtSea app asks you to create an account password (see section 4). We never see or store your card details. Web miễn phí không hỏi mật khẩu, thông tin thanh toán hay giấy tờ cá nhân. App SpeakAtSea có yêu cầu đặt mật khẩu tài khoản (xem mục 4). Chúng tôi không bao giờ thấy hay lưu thông tin thẻ của bạn.

3. Unsubscribe and deletion3. Huỷ đăng ký và xoá dữ liệu

Every email has an unsubscribe link. To have your name, email or SpeakAtSea account deleted completely, write to hieu@hieunguyen.net. We reply within 7 days. Order records may be kept for as long as tax rules require. Mỗi email đều có link huỷ đăng ký. Muốn xoá hẳn tên, email hoặc tài khoản SpeakAtSea, gửi thư tới hieu@hieunguyen.net. Chúng tôi trả lời trong 7 ngày. Hồ sơ đơn hàng có thể được giữ lại theo thời hạn luật thuế yêu cầu.

• Order and account. When you buy, we keep your name, email, the contact number you give (if any), the package you bought, the amount and the payment time. Your account keeps your email and your password. The password is stored only as a salted hash, never as plain text. Đơn hàng và tài khoản. • Devices. One account works on up to 2 devices at a time: signing in on a third device signs the oldest one out. To do this we keep a random ID for each device you sign in on. Thiết bị. Một tài khoản dùng cùng lúc được trên 2 máy, đăng nhập ở máy thứ 3 thì máy cũ nhất tự thoát ra. Để làm việc đó, chúng tôi lưu một mã ngẫu nhiên cho mỗi máy bạn đăng nhập.
• Your profile (optional). You can fill in a short profile: name, age or year of birth, hometown, school, family (your parents' jobs and ages), your current rank, ship type, years at sea and your English level, plus the rank you are training for. The app uses it only to put your own details into the sample interview answers. It is saved in your account so you do not have to fill it in again on a new phone. Nobody else can see it and we do not share it. You can change or delete it at any time in the app (Profile → Delete). Hồ sơ của bạn (tuỳ chọn). App chỉ dùng hồ sơ để ghép thông tin của bạn vào câu trả lời phỏng vấn mẫu. Hồ sơ được giữ trong tài khoản của bạn để đổi điện thoại không phải điền lại. Không ai khác xem được và chúng tôi không chia sẻ cho ai. Bạn sửa hoặc xoá được bất cứ lúc nào trong app (Hồ sơ → Xoá).
• Staying signed in. After you sign in, the app keeps a signed login ticket on your device (in a cookie and in the browser's storage) so you do not have to sign in every time. Signing out, or changing your password, ends it. Giữ đăng nhập. Sau khi đăng nhập, app giữ một vé đăng nhập có chữ ký trên máy bạn (trong cookie và bộ nhớ trình duyệt) để không phải đăng nhập lại mỗi lần. Đăng xuất hoặc đổi mật khẩu là vé hết hiệu lực.
• Learning progress. Which lessons and steps you have finished is saved on our server, so your progress follows you to a new device. Tiến độ học. Bài và bước bạn đã học xong được lưu trên máy chủ, để đổi máy vẫn giữ tiến độ.
• Your voice recordings stay on your device. Recordings you make in lessons are saved only in your browser on your own device. A recording leaves your device only when you tap the button to have your progress scored: it is then sent to our server, turned into text and compared by an AI model (Cloudflare Workers AI), and the result is shown to you. We do not store the audio; we only count how many times you used scoring. Until 30 October 2026 there is also a button to send your before and after recordings to the teacher, Hieu, for personal feedback. Only when you tap it, the files go straight to his Telegram; our server does not keep them. They are used on the app's sales page only if you tick the consent box, and never with your name or phone number. Bản ghi âm nằm trên máy bạn. Chỉ khi bạn bấm gửi, file mới được chuyển thẳng tới Telegram của thầy; máy chủ không lưu. Bản ghi chỉ được dùng trên trang giới thiệu app nếu bạn tick ô đồng ý, và không bao giờ kèm tên hay số điện thoại.
• Reminders. If you turn on study reminders, we keep the notification address your browser gives us and the time you chose. Turning reminders off in the app removes it. Nhắc học. Nếu bạn bật nhắc học, chúng tôi lưu địa chỉ thông báo mà trình duyệt đưa và giờ bạn chọn. Tắt nhắc học trong app là xoá.
• Order alerts to the owner. When an order is placed or paid, the owner gets a short message on Telegram with the order code, your name, contact number, email, package and amount, so he can help you quickly if something goes wrong. Báo đơn cho chủ app. Khi có đơn mới hoặc đơn đã trả tiền, chủ app nhận một tin ngắn qua Telegram gồm mã đơn, tên, số liên hệ, email, gói và số tiền, để kịp hỗ trợ bạn khi có trục trặc.
• Security. To stop password guessing and spam orders, our server keeps a short-lived counter tied to a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address. We never keep the IP address itself, and the counters are deleted automatically within hours. Bảo mật. Để chặn dò mật khẩu và đơn rác, máy chủ giữ một bộ đếm ngắn hạn gắn với địa chỉ IP của bạn đã được mã hoá một chiều. Chúng tôi không giữ địa chỉ IP gốc, và bộ đếm tự xoá sau vài giờ.
• Usage statistics in the app. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity show us which screens are used and where people get stuck. Clarity can replay how a page was used; the order form, sign-in, account and profile screens are masked so what you type there is not recorded. Số liệu dùng app. Google Analytics và Microsoft Clarity cho chúng tôi biết màn nào được dùng và người học hay vướng ở đâu. Clarity có thể xem lại cách một trang được dùng; form đặt hàng, màn đăng nhập, tài khoản và hồ sơ đều được che nên chữ bạn gõ ở đó không bị ghi lại.
• Services we use for the app: Cloudflare (hosting, database, AI scoring); Resend (emailing your login details); Lemon Squeezy (only once card payments from outside Vietnam are switched on; Lemon Squeezy is then the merchant of record and handles your card details under its own privacy policy); SePay (notifying us of bank transfers inside Vietnam); Pancake POS (our order book: name, contact, email, package, amount); Telegram (order alerts to the owner); Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (usage statistics). Each receives only what it needs for its job. Dịch vụ app dùng: Cloudflare (máy chủ, cơ sở dữ liệu, chấm bằng AI); Resend (gửi thông tin đăng nhập qua email); Lemon Squeezy (chỉ khi mở thanh toán thẻ cho khách nước ngoài; khi đó Lemon Squeezy là bên bán chính thức và tự xử lý thông tin thẻ theo chính sách của họ); SePay (báo chuyển khoản ngân hàng trong Việt Nam); Pancake POS (sổ đơn hàng: tên, số liên hệ, email, gói, số tiền); Telegram (báo đơn cho chủ app); Google Analytics và Microsoft Clarity (số liệu dùng app). How long we keep itGiữ bao lâu

• Account, profile and progress: until you ask us to delete them. Orders and payment records: as long as Vietnamese tax rules require. Reminder settings: until you turn reminders off. Security counters: a few hours. Tài khoản, hồ sơ, tiến độ: đến khi bạn yêu cầu xoá. Đơn hàng và giao dịch: theo thời hạn luật thuế Việt Nam yêu cầu. Cài đặt nhắc học: đến khi bạn tắt. Bộ đếm bảo mật: vài giờ.

Your rightsQuyền của bạn

• You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent. Most of it you can change yourself in the app (profile, password, devices, reminders). For anything else write to hieu@hieunguyen.net or message Zalo 0869989030. We reply within 7 days. Deleting your account also ends your access to the app. Bạn có quyền yêu cầu xem dữ liệu chúng tôi đang giữ về bạn, sửa, xoá, hoặc rút lại sự đồng ý. Phần lớn bạn tự sửa được ngay trong app (hồ sơ, mật khẩu, máy, nhắc học). Việc khác thì gửi thư tới hieu@hieunguyen.net hoặc nhắn Zalo 0869989030. Chúng tôi trả lời trong 7 ngày. Xoá tài khoản thì bạn cũng không vào học được nữa.

HieuBrain Drive is a private tool used only by the site owner. It uploads the owner's own study documents to the owner's own Google Drive folder, so they can be shared on this site. It does not access any visitor's Google account or data. Information received from Google APIs is used only for this upload, is not shared with anyone, and follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. HieuBrain Drive là công cụ riêng, chỉ chủ trang dùng. Nó tải tài liệu học của chính chủ trang lên thư mục Google Drive của chính chủ trang để chia sẻ trên web này. Nó không truy cập tài khoản hay dữ liệu Google của người xem. Dữ liệu nhận từ Google API chỉ dùng cho việc tải lên này, không chia sẻ cho ai, và tuân thủ Chính sách dữ liệu người dùng của Google API Services, gồm cả yêu cầu Limited Use.
